I started this blog with the intention of keeping it to strictly food. I think it is important to stay focused, but over the past 6 or so months I kept wanting to write about my great love in life – books. Sorry Matt. I was one of those nerds that actually enjoyed English class and writing essays analyzing the behavior of the walls in The Yellow Wallpaper or discussing the significance of the mannequin in A Prayer for Own Meany. In my adult life, reading holds a dominant place in my hygge.
You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.
― C.S. Lewis
With the advent of 2018 I said to myself “What the heck! Its my blog and I can do what I want because I am an adult-person!” (I didn’t actually say that)
(also I didn’t want to buy another domain)
(I’m saving to buy a house, okay? #goals)
The bottom line is, you’ll still be seeing restaurant reviews and recipes. But along with those you’ll be privy to my thoughts on books young and old. Bestseller and niche. Gigantic and itty-bitty. To pretend I’m being ~focused~ I’ll throw in a drink pairing so you can imbibe while you read your new favorite book.
Its 2018, folks. Lets do this!
